GREAT JOB! Give yourself a pat on the back.
You have to celebrate your accomplishments even if it's just a plateau. Plateauing at 208--I'm sure it wasn't so long ago you thought you'd never GET to 208. So celebrate! (Not with double chocolate fudge pecan pie, of course.) I'm in the same struggle. Down almost 80 from January 20-something. Those plateaus kill'ya. What I found is that if my eating and exercise doesn't change, a plateau means that I'm heading for a drop. The scale is a fickle beast. Also, exercising in the summer I think tends to dehydrate and that means the body conserves fluids, making us heavier. At least, that's my theory.

Awesome on your sub 200lb weight. Keep up the good work. My heaviness, read obesity, has given me many reasons to visit my doctor(s), yes plural, and take lots of expensive pills. Even with a large weight loss I am still above a healthy BMI. Like a lot of us on this forum I fight to lose pounds constantly. I hope you don't have to come back to our part of the bicycle universe.

I just hit 198.6 2 weeks ago and I keep peeking at the scale to make sure it stays down there. It's not my natural state, so it will take work to maintain but I'm 2 lbs away from my wedding weight. Good times.

I was 263 when I began cycling in June 2017. I plateaued at the 225 level for the past 5 months (while on pace for 8,000 miles in 2020!). Last week of July I was 228.0 one morning and it ticked me off, big time. So I realized - hey, I've got to get serious here or I'm never going to get below 220!
I decided to make August my breakthrough month. I cut out the stupid stuff - you know what it is for you - and slowly the pounds are falling off. This morning I was at 222 for the 3rd morning in a row. I can visualize getting under 220 now for the first time in, oh, maybe 30 years (I'm 61 y/o). Once I get below 220 then 210 is the next goal to go.
Keep up the good work!
