Hi! from California
Hello! I'm new to the forum. I want to get into road biking but I don't know where to start with buying a road bike. Can anyone point me to some threads about beginners bike buying? I'm aiming for a used $200 bike.

I'd look in our Classic & Vintage forum.

Kev,
Welcome to Bike Forums.
With CV-19 forcing everyone to go cycling for exercise, the price of used bikes has risen.
You are going to find yourself quite limited regarding budget.
Also your question regarding threads for used bike is extremely broad.
If you can narrow the subject you are looking for you will have more luck.
I will say that with your budget in mind you will be looking at older bikes. The older stuff tends to have 27inch wheels and not the far more common 700c wheels.
Purchasing a bike with 27" wheels will limit availability and choice of tires to fit.
All the best
Barry

Thanks Barry! I actually just bought a bike today and was wondering what 700c wheels mean in the ad. I must've lucked out!
