No, I wish people we would stop calling them bicycles. They are really pedal assist motorcycles. They are fine on public roads. They should be required to get a license like a motorcycle or moped.
How is this a bicycle ?

I was accused of being a creeper right in these very forums for just daring to make eye contact on my MUP. I haven't lifted my eyes from my front tire or waved since...

I'm losing track here. Are you offended at people being offended at his being offensive about being offended about being contradicted or are you offended by people being offended at your being offended by people being offended by him being offensive in retaliation for people offending him by disagreeing with him?

I have toured a good deal out west, where I have gotten a lot of waves and thumbs ups from motorcyclists.
I descended part of Independence Pass towards Aspen behind a group of motorcyclists. The guy directly in front of me pointed down to alert me to various obstacles in the road. Thought that was very nice of him.

Here's a free tip, don't post something as trite as Post B after insulting someone with Post A. And the "/s" just underlines how completely unfunny you are.
This is just sad.

An elderly couple were slowly pedalling their eBikes toward me this morning.
I restrained my acknowledgement to the minimum.
And now I've realised the rule.
If they have every appearance of being normal cyclists then they should be acknowledged as if normal cyclists.
However, if they appear as if they have superpowers, or are progressing as if mopeds, then they are not in the same class.
So, I should have fully acknowledged the elderly couple as fellow cyclists - without restraint or hesitation.
This epiphany is going to make life so much easier.

I do not differentiate between ebikes and standard bikes. First off, from waving distance, I can't necessarily tell what type of bike they are on. For the most part, I wave at everyone on the multi-use paths, cyclist, joggers/runners, walkers, inline skaters. Of course, if it's a particularly busy day on the paths, it starts to get a bit silly waving at everyone.
On the road, I'll acknowledge other cyclist on the other side of the road. I don't wave, head nod etc. to motorcyclists. Though I still feel a bit of kinship to motorcyclists. We share some things in common concerning viability and vulnerability sharing the road with cars.
Oh I wave at trains. I figure, I don't mind waving mindlessly at a commuter train. I like to think, there's always a chance it might brighten someones day, whether I can see them or not.

Reply if you like, you have a pathological need to always have the last word, no matter how lame it makes you seem.
I am, however, blocking you…so carry on King of the Dullards.
May I suggest that you read up on the Dunning-Kruger Effect.
Hasta la vista amigo!

A fitting, pretentious comment from the King of the Dullards. Your family and friends must love being around you.
