Buying Cero One. Any Experience?

Hi Guys,

My local shop has a sale on Cero One bikes, and they look awesome to me. Deore, Big Ben tires, upgraded battery, good rack and basket options, double kickstand, integrated frame lock...the only downside is the Shimano Steps is a little low power (but reliable). For $2,890, the value seems nuts. Anyone own one of these who can give feedback?

I'm thinking work commuter, daycare pickup in a Yepp seat and Burley trailer, grocery getter and general errand runner. I love that it isn't as long as my cargo bike, and should fit on my Kuat. Am I missing anything?

Just an update: The ride home was awesome. I was surprised at how well it handled loaded up. It does kid duty well, and I think the front basket will hold all the stuff I have to transport between job sites to free me from my car!

Great to hear, and the first time that I've heard about that brand. Looks like you're going to need to expand to a two-kid transportation system. Nice looking family, and makes me nostalgic that my children grew up so rapidly.

The Steps is fine, your bike is heavy. Ask your dealer about the Steps optional 38-tooth chainring. It will help acceleration and hill climbing.

There's a review of the Cero in the current issue of Electric Bike Action magazine.
