Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'd rather clean my pie-hole really well then have to wear underwear.

I'm not really concerned with skid marks, I just dont want radioactive junk sweat funk to stay lodged in my shorts.

Im a noob myself and the best thing I did when I bought my first road bike 4months ago was to take the advice of the LBS owner and pay for good shorts. I wore it with briefs the first time but without the next and it was a world of difference. I dont see the problem with hygiene if you are clean and if you wash your shorts frequently enough. you can't be that insecure about your own cleanliness.. or can u

Only a sick mind would've thought of wearing underwear under cycling shorts.

I don't underwear beneath my bibs or tri suit, but I have to admit that I am tempted to do so. I have chronic low-grade pain in my left testicle, and bibs and the tri suit aggravate the pain. Brief swimming suits help the pain. They just provide better support. Bibs smash; they don't support.
