Bicycle Repair Man !!!
That's so cute!
How many trailers do you have? I think I've seen three in this thread. I have a BOB Yak and a BAW 63A. I get lots of comments on the BAW, but nobody seems to notice the BOB. "That's so cute" was the only comment I remember hearing about my BOB. Yours is so much cuter though behind the folder. So much utility in such a small package.

I don't miss my trailer as much as one would think although I will be building a new one... until then I will make do with this...

Today I took some stuff to be recycled. This was the first proper use of my new trailer:
I ended up bringing back a lot more than I discarded, though:

rtciv, great to see the trailer at work. I've been following your trailer construction thread. You've built a really nice trailer!

Thanks a lot! The frame make it very easy to strap things down... although it makes me worry about painting it, because it will very quickly get scratched and chipped. In fact, every time I put the trailer down or lean it against a wall, that will happen.

Yay! I finally get to post a photo in this thread (and a couple others; I'm not shy ) My first ride on the Xtracycle (just finished putting it together this afternoon), and my first load. I took my daughter's bike to meet the bus after a cross country meet. Then she rode the bike home with me. The boys thought the "surfboard" was cool. 12 year old daughter soaked in the attention.

Keep an eye on it and find out what parts of the frame that is actually touching the ground or wall. Maybe you could put some protection on where it is needed? Old grips? Same foam they use for insulating pipes? Garden hose or pneumatic hose? In the folder foums you often see peopel has put pneumatic hose on the rear rack of the BF tikit. I think this part often hits the ground when folding and transporting the bike.
Great trailer by the way

i've wrapped rubber strip round the sideloaders of my yuba, works great to protect the paint, i'm more worried about rust than appearances, tho it makes it look like a bike that gets put to work. I'll post a pic when i take one

not sure of the make or model, but it's probably trailer #10 we've built (the big boy, 40x72" chassis)...recently added a BAW tow-arm which, for $65, has been a great investment...

Hey Bloompedal08!! What kind of wheels are you running on the most recent pic you posted? And, what kind of axle set-up are you using? The wheels are exactly what I'm looking for and I'm thinking either one long axle w/ multiple supports or 2 shorter axles... thanks man, love your work!!

northern tool 16"5 SPOKED PNEUMATIC WHEEL...cheap as i could find with 1/2" axle.
$15 each last time i checked...good wheels...although when storing the big trailer on its side, the wheel flexed overnight and warped...it's not too bad, just out of true...I now store the trailer upright.
/edit: and the stock bearings on these wheels suck--we replaced the entire hub assemblies with higher quality cartridge bearings and included an aluminium spacer in between the bearings on either side of the hub which serves to pull the races of the bearings together, similar to some skateboard hub assemblies, via threaded axle and nylocks, shaft collars, set screws, etc. it's really not too complicated. pm me for blueprints.

Some loads from the last year...
The Raja Truckshaw carrying Yellow bikes for distribution
Getting my new oven home from a yard sale. (a mere four blocks away!)
Dumpster diving with the truck on OU's move-out week.
Bike taxi production supplies, including lots of heavy chain.
More bike taxis. This time on the 5' Bikes At Work trailer.
Tagalong setup with the Bueno trike. Not terribly convenient, but I think I've done this at least twice.
Hauling 4 full containers of veggie oil and 2 empties on the Skruvskar. I also threw my Trek on there after this photo.
Yea, I bought gas on my tricycle once. It's for the Yamaha dual purpose motorcycle, which is the only internal combustion vehicle I have.

Nice hauling, Eric! What's all the vegetable oil for, if you don't mind me asking? You have a lot of it there!
