As Doohickie mentioned, he had the Prelude above and traded it to me for a Raleigh Supercourse.
I've also got this '87 Prologue that I picked up not long ago. It's not a fixed gear anymore (and doesn't have aerobars), but it's not finished either, so these pictures will suffice until later.
And this '89 Le Tour that I got at a garage sale.
And this one's not late 80's, but it is 80's. It's my '83 Voyageur SP. I had been looking for a touring bike and came across someone on CL that had this and newer Voyageur, so I got this one.

'88 LeTour. This is the sellers photo. The bike has since been reworked using Shimano 105 7 speed indexed components.

I know the Waterford paramounts don't get as much love as the old Chicago paramounts, but I think they look great and are an awesome ride. But I am a little biased.

Here's my '87 Paramount with 7-speed 7400 Dura-Ace. It was listed on Spokane craigslist for $250. I told the seller that I'd be stealing it at that price and asked him to take $500 so I could sleep with a clear conscience. He had purchased it from the original owner in the early nineties. The original Emerald paint was pretty rough, so I had Dr. Deltron respray it in Ferrari Red which was a 1987 Paramount factory color.

My 1986 Schwinn Prelude. The reason my two Schwinns are special, is the cost. The Prelude was a $50 CL find, the Traveler was a $25 thrift store find.

^^^ Awesome deals on those two bikes!! Very Nice!! Seems you get a LOT of bang for the buck on these babies. I plan on upgrading mine to at least 7 speeds and swap out for a compact crank setup. We have tons of Hills around here and i dont think i would be loving that 42 tooth small gear in the front for too long!! However, I might just go with a MTB freewheel/derailluer/chain swap first to see what it does. If I had a 34 in the rear I might be able to keep the crank setup. Just wondering out loud...Of course any input about this from the Schwinn masters around here would be greatly appreciated!!!

'87 Circuit that I picked up this morning. Had been on CL for 2 weeks so I figured it might be time to try for the winter season discount offer. All original except for pedals. The tires will probably blow as I type though since I put 85 pounds in and they both have a bubble. Gonna lose what's left of the cyclo puter.
I now have a red and black Circuit that are both my size, 24" frame and love the way they ride. The red '88 came with Sante bits and Concor saddle that I sold off to finance 9 speed Ultegra/Dura Ace mix on it. The Suntour Sprint components on the '87 work really well IMO and look nice too.
This is as found condition. Should clean up nicely. Concor Saddle is in great shape. It might go on the bay to make this deal really sweet.

My 1987 Voyageur. The 80's Schwinns seem to be under appreciated and for that reason can be a great bargain. I think they have super comfortable rides.

You said that was on CL for two weeks********** Must have been a biggy price tag. The bike is georgous to the 10th degree!!

This is a great post. I love 80's vintage Schwinns. Here's my 86 Super Sport with 600 SIS. Bought it new and after a few years retired it to the trainer. Subsequently it turned into a rust bucket. 2010 saw a new powder coat job with color change (just for something different) and a complete rebuild using most of the original components. I added a new seat, stem and nitto noodle bars. I also used vintage Super Sport decals because I liked them better and was having trouble locating the original ones.
