Here's a Washington Post article about the Chukudu.

And a German firm has given the high tech spin to it.

Like a bad @$$ functional Razor scooter. I like the name, too. We should name everything like that.

The Chukudu video was a nice human interest story, but the Washington Post article was pretty sad.

It's rough times that would require such a vehicle to be invented. In some ways, I was wondering why it hadn't been invented before. Von Drais could have made one.

Great video.

Be nice to see a video of how they are built... looks like a real art.

Pretty neat stuff. I'd rather have the Black Mamba, but that looks flat out fun too.

Hilarious and fascinating. The design reminds me of a scientific paper, proving you can have a stable bike without large wheels or caster/trail, they proved this with a bike the size of a razor scooter, with inclined frame like shown in video, with counter-rotating wheels above the front and rear wheels to cancel the gyro effects of the wheels, and zero trail/caster; The key was mass distribution, such that it had significant weight forward of the steering axis on the frame (I think not coupled to the steered mass, not certain) via a concentrated weight, so that as the rolling bike started to fall over, it would steer into the fall and self-correct, not as stable as a larger wheel and with more caster, but above a certain speed, it was stable.
