Cycling in Mallorca, Spain
I was told road cycling in Mallorca is great. The person I spoke to rented great bikes at a reasonable cost and said the riding was beautiful. Does anybody have experience riding in Mallorca? I am looking for advice on where to stay, where to rent bikes, etc.

Hi everyone. I am going to visit Spain this summer. It will be a beach holiday tour but I would like to go for a ride on bicycles. Can you recommend me some rental stations?

Cycling around the island is amazing. If Mallorca is known for it's beach side, it should also be famous for its trails. I took several pictures of my journeys in Mallorca and the bike tour in Madrid

I last went to Mallorca back in 2012, thinking of going back when this Covid thing is all over and hiring a bike to get around, last time I went I stayed in the same resort for the whole two weeks.

A lot of serious riders in Germany go to Malle (as they call it) or Gran Canaria for a week holiday in February, or early March, specifically for this reason. I've been to Mallorca in the summer, and I can honestly say that road riding in July/August would be miserable, high temps are 30-33C and it is dry. While still living in Germany, I went in Feb '18, '19, '20 (then COVID happened....) and, it was lovely, temps 14-18C were normal, winds were not too bad, and across those three weeks it rained only twice and it was not downpour stuff. I took my own bike in a bag, but there are plenty of reputable rental companies with a range of bike options.
