Touring deals
The road forum has a sticky for this. I think maybe we could have a touring specific one.

You may have to create an account and log in to see the discount.
I see the price at $179.99 until I log in, and then it's $127.79.

Hmmm. Try joining their VIP club -- I've made purchases there, and joined, since it was free. I don't know if this is a VIP-club thing, or a previous customer thing.

Looks like one can only sign up for the VIP club when you make a purchase. Oh well, wasn't really looking for those anyhow, more looking for prices on a front pair.
I do like the idea of a deals thread, though.

The most economical approach is to buy from German bike shops which ship to USA as part of normal business. Combine rack + pannier + etc purchases to make shipping cost to USA more cost-effective (rack alone ships for about the same as rack + bags). VAT in Germany is 19%, but shouldn't apply to USA shipments (some websites detect IP address and exclude VAT in item listing, others don't). Examples for Tubus Cargo only:
rosebikes 99usd shipped
bike-discount 87usd shipped
Note the Tubus Cargo rack comes in a 26" and 28" version, difference is height/clearance. Also Cargo comes in Classic and newer EVO version - refer to dimension drawings for details. I have a 26 Cargo Classic on my 28 Disc Trucker, which still clears my 50mm VO fender, positioned to accommodate 700x42mm tire.
These sort of good deals used to be possible from UK bike etailers a few years ago, but not so much anymore. Most UK sellers comply with vendors' rules which prohibit shipping of some brands (with higher USA pricing) - Ortlieb and Rohloff being good examples.
