Flipflap, what does mid-300K mean? Have you ridden it for 350K kilometers or miles? That would be most impressive.

My 1985 610 that catalog calls burnt sienna color.

More like a coppery brown in my view.

My 1979 Koga-Miyata ProRacer

The bike has a Tange Champion #2 frame and is equipped with a Dura-Ace EX group. The pic is from halfway the project: a rebuild with original parts. Color is pearl orange.

I freaking love that color. Here's the one I refreshed this summer. Wish it was in my size, would have kept it!

Meaning you probably already passed it on... If you give us some hint of your preferred size, there are several of us here on BF.net that are willing to swap!!! Me, I'm always on the lookout for 56/57/58cm (22-23") bikes...

Oof, that's nice. Can I ask how much it cost you to have those S&S couplers added to your frame?

Edit; found my answer.

What do you use them for? The Miyata 1400 is a road bike if I recall correctly?

Thanks! I had just polished the frame, and the sunset hit it just right! The paint has metallic in it, so it really "pops" in the right light.

I did sell this one locally. I'm typically 51-54cm, but I am on a one-in, one-out diet! I try to keep my personal bikes down to a dozen or so.

The Miyata 1400 had the brake cable running through the top tube causing corrosion after 30 years. Installing the s&s couplers repaired the damage and allows the bike to be broke down for travel.

Funny, just logged in here to check my own Miyata thread as I get ready to put my 914SE up for sale locally and saw this.

Here it is with one of the pics I just took. A total catch and release for me pretty much although I have tuned it up and swapped in a nice IRD BB. The bike cave is just overflowing and I haven't really put any time or money in this one. Sure is a nice rider though.

Hard to shoot in the harsh light and snow

Original rims

Tricolor hubs

Nice but some wear

Digging the shiny stem

I did put new Veloflex on it.

Tricolor parts are pretty

Nice

Digging the RD

Lots of rub on the crank.

Thanks! It is a 1985. I'm not nuts about the promax stem, but it is cut to the right height for me.
