Portland mechanics...

I know it's a bad time of year, but if you know of anyplace in town that's looking for another wrench, let me know. Thanks a million!

Oregon, right? You might consider volunteering for the BTA to help get the fleet of kids' bikes working for the fall safety courses. I'm sure many employed mechanics will be there, and you might be able to network or get a lead on a job.

There are 2 Portlands. The fun one and the one on the West coast. Which one?

also check out the Community Cycling Center, located on 17th and Alberta in NE. I know they're looking for volunteers too, and it'd be a good shoe-in to have that on paper when you try for a wrenching position.

that is if you're talking about portland, or.

Yep, PDX is the one. Thanks for the suggestions - I'm checking out BTA and CCC.
Wow... That was cryptic.

As far as the bike world goes, it seems the one on the West Coast would be the fun one, yeah?

If I were a Portland resident, those might be fightin' words. But since I live across the Columbia river and hence am probably a Hummer-driving lowlife (nevermind my ever-expanding bike collection), I just have to say- Yup!
