2021 Trek FX Sport 6 vs 2021 Giant Fastroad Advanced 1

Does anyone have any opinion or experience with either the 2021 Trek FX Sport 6 or the 2021 Giant Fastroad Advanced 1?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have had a 2018 Specialized Crosstrail Expert Carbon the past few years and looking at either of these new bikes.

Mainly speed, flat road and perhaps some occasional gravel.

Thanks!

Haven't ridden either. On paper, they match up evenly spec for spec. The only thing I saw that would cause me to "hesitate" was the IsoSpeed decoupler on the Trek. It may work and never present a problem, but I'd want more info about it, perhaps someone with the IsoSpeed decoupler on their Trek will join the conversation. Could turn out to be the deciding factor-might be great if it works as promoted--but I'm always wary of proprietary parts that could be discontinued in the future. EDIT-almost overlooked the proprietary D-fuse seatpost on the Giant--if you ride with your saddle other than perfectly straight, too bad. And if ever needs replaced, it's only available from Giant (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Guess proprietary parts on bikes are seen more often than they used to be.

I'd share my FX 6 setup, but apparently you have to make 10 posts?

Search for my setup on the 'Trek FX Owners' group on facebook. I don't have the patience to deal with Bike Forums policy. I average close to 19 mph on my FX 6.

I have 2015 Giant Fastroad. It's a great road bike. I ride with the fast group on our summer group rides (22mph average speed for ~40 miles) and they all have drop bar bikes and I keep up with them just fine.

What speeds do you average when riding solo?

Very cool. I'm planning to do some road events this year. I should be on target for keeping pace with faster groups.

That Giant Fastroad looks like a fine bike. I'm partial to Giant since buying their 2018 Sedona comfort bike. Even at a budget price the design and build quality of this bike is 2'nd to none. Beautiful paint, fit and finish. It's the most pleasant bike I have ever rode, If not the speediest.

Lately I've been considering a more aggressive flat bar road bike to compliment my comfort bike. Thanks to the fine job they did with the Sedona, Id probably go with their Fastroad, Just don't know which model. Even the entry level looks like a good value for someone looking for a comfortable, quick, flat bar road bike.

Bought the 2012 FX5 a couple days ago. Brilliant bike. Never considered a Giant.

I just sold my Giant FastRoad and bought a new Trek Domane. With the Covid bike market I couldn't resist. MSRP in 2015 was $1500 and I bought it for $1200. I just sold it for $1100.
