Does anyone ride 700x19 tires these days?
It seems like 25 mm is now the smallest tire size I see most people using. Does anyone even use 700x23 tires? Any benefits of using such thin tires with all the focus on lower pressures these days?

If you're riding on nice roads, a 23 on the front can be fine, and probably gets most aero rims more aero - the rim should be at least 105% of the tyre width to perform well in crosswinds.
But 19s, nah - 19s have pretty much always been for the track, rocking like 160psi. That'll rattle your teeth out on the road.

I do not think you can even purchase 19mm tires anymore, at least I haven't noticed that as an option whenever I shop for tires. I've 22mm tubulars on a set of carbon wheels. They are okay at around 110 psi. I wouldn't do more than 100 km on them, though.

I don't see why anyone would want to, unless you're on the track. I'll be running 25mm up front on my deep wheels, they'll measure out to a lil over 28mm and be a good aero fit for the 30mm wide rim. Speed and comfort, why compromise?

Back in the late 70's I had a pair of Michelin tires that were 19mm. It was a short lived experience. The first ride the front tire blew out when I went over and expansion seam on the downhill side of a bridge. The side wall blew out and I was fortunate enough to get stopped without a bad incident. I walked a couple of miles to a bike shop and replaced both tires at that point. No more 19 mm for me. These days, I am mostly riding 25 or 28mm tires, with 25 only on the 2 bikes that I own that will not fit 28s. I find a big difference it the feel of the ride between 25 and 28.

I still ride conti pg 5000 in 23 they are fine. My rims are 23 mm so I run the psi at 95-100 rear and 90 front. They are fine no issues but I don't get off the hard pavement for sure.

I've transitioned to 25 on all my vintage bikes and 28 on 1 modern and 1 touring bike . I do have a set of tubulars (22mm) I run on a vintage bike , on occasion , but not too far from home . KB

The tires on my '83 Miyata 710 measure about 26mm, and I could go considerably larger without difficulty.
My '79 Fuji America is currently wearing 28s underneath full-length fenders.
And then there's the 2.1" slicks on my allroad bike, whose frameset was made in 1984. But I might be cheating a bit with this one.

My Cannondale Criterium came with 20s, it was the first time I’d ridden anything that skinny since the 90s. I did not like the feeling of every bump in the road, and went back to 23s, 25 on my commuter

Yep, if your roads are okay enough not to smash a front 23, no reason not to run one IMO. 25 rear definitely makes a lot of sense too, been advocating this combo since 25s became readily available.

I have an older TT frame that won't fit anything larger than 23mm. It's the only reason I still keep those around. I do have some 20mm tires I inherited from a wheelset I got from an older guy, but those are museum pieces, honestly.

And it goes off like a cannon when you discover the rim isn't rated for higher then 140psi. I learned about rim ratings the hard way, was riding to Fort Ontario to watch the noon reenactment and as it got in sight I thought I was early from the sound of a cannon, 1/2 second later I discovered it was my rear wheel. Tire was still good but the rim was blown open.
Haven't run 19c in 20 years when I decided it was a stupidly uncomfortable ride and pinched too easily on upstate NY roads. still like my 23
