Norco Bigfoot Info
I bought a 21 speed Norco Bigfoot Mountain bike several years ago. The serial # is: A891111402. How old is the bike and what can you tell me about it? Shifters say Shimano Tourney SIS Index. Brakes say Shimino on the levers and Exage Country on brake. Is this original or upgraded?

Welcome! Sounds like late '80s to early '90s to me but others will reply with more precision.

That serial number could be reverse engineered for 1988-1990 model years but Exage Country was only marketed in 1989. Since these two clues seem to fit with each other, the Exage Country is most likely OEM and the bicycle is likely a 1989 model. The Tourney shifters are a later replacement. Exage Country was the lowest of Shimano's 6 dedicated ATB groups in 1989. It was typically found on models in the $300-$350 US price range.
