Suspension Fork Question?

So I have a frame that talks about supporting 150mm of travel for the front fork - specifically it is a Carbon Frame M08 (Dengfubike)

I want to use a Rock Shox Lyrik Ultimate Fork which comes in various travel options. Now to setup the fork they say use 20-30% sag - depending on how plush one wants it.

If I do some math.. 150mm with 20% sag is - 30mm Now if I like a more plush setting couldn't I just get the 160mm fork make it 25% sag which translates to 40mm... and isn't the end result the same as if I had a 150mm fork with 20% sag - except I don't use up travel for sag - but have extra travel left? Wouldn't the 160mm fork be the better setup than the 150mm - given I like a bit more sag? Or what's the thoughts about this trade off, what do you suggest?

Any insights into this would be appreciated?

You really won't know how much sag works best for you and that frame until you have the fork on the bike and start riding it. Don't buy the fork committing yourself to a lot of sag. Running too much sag makes the bike dive into corners and while braking. It also means the front end lifts higher when climbing a steep hill.

I would just stick with what they recommend.
