Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I do have 2 clubs to chose from. One of those looks interesting but it's not very long. Maybe I can talk a couple others into extending it.

I don't know where my camera is, I guess I should look for it.

I do have an old picture of the area.

Velo Vol more proof aero matters.
Some fit and strong cyclist, picked his day, rode his very aero optimized bike at just over 33mph for just under 3 hours.

https://www.breakfastwithnick.com/20...afe-buxton-nc/

Was going to put their actual website up but it doesn’t have pictures.

If any of you guys and gals ever go to the OBX, I highly recommend this place. It’s all the way down in Buxton, so it’s near the cape hatteras light house, about 40 mins or so from nags head. Their pastries are absolutely amazing, all home made. You have to get there early because every morning they sell out pretty quickly. When we were younger and off-spring-less, we would camp in frisco almost monthly and this was a go to atleast once or twice a trip.

More traffic on the route he rode than I would have expected.

#11 Oregon Ducks are relegated to ESPN2 today.

In that time slot, we OTA viewers have the choice of:

Wisconsin vs Northwestern (popular with the snowbirds)
San Diego State vs Nevada #whocares

Only $1,099, and you could really improve your swing.

I could use one of those to prepare for softball season. Even better would be an option to give me feedback on impact velocity.

And now I have a bike to build. Hopefully I will finish it today and get back to woodworking. And bike riding.
