How does the GPS work with your garmin? Boost the signal? Can you get it to broadcast power?

Nice, I think it also acts as an ANT / Bluetooth amplifier so less dropouts.
For real though, all my wife's staff has COVID right now, she just tested negative, and our local hospital has tents. I can't wait for this to end.
I can wait my turn, I just wonder, do Cat 1 Masters get it first or Cat 5?

I'm just waiting for the 5g signal to go live before the nanobots take me over.

I still can't figure out why things are so regionally different.
It is ending when individule places just open. That is happening in CA and CO (where I am now).

Just down the road in the OC @hoag they had 80 beds of 600 with the COVID. In 2017/18 Hoag ran out of beds and they have space at the moment.
I still can't figure out why things are so regionally different.

I refer to it as reach; I work at home, so I have no reach except my wife. My wife may see 2 people at work. A big household with 2-3 'essential' workers can have a reach into the hundreds at the second degree.

If your metrics are set up to incentivize workers and managers to lie, you're not getting any worthwhile metrics.
FedEx constantly lies about making deliveries around here. USPS does occasionally, but FedEx it's probably 50% of the packages they scan as delivered before they deliver them. Have some Christmas flowers coming, for today, they say they were delivered to the front door at 11am. It's 830pm and they're nowhere to be seen. I don't even blame the drivers, I'm sure they're basically required to show that "everything was delivered on time" even if that's literally impossible and their managers know it's literally impossible.
If everyone fakes their metrics and their tracking, you have no data at all. It's all useless and can't be trusted. I see this same thing constantly in business.

Merry Christmas to everyone here. I hope there will be some races next year and I know how much that would mean to some of you.

Florida is the wild west. The supermarket had 100% compliance, but not a lot of masks elsewhere. We’re just staying away from people.

At least the supermarket had 100% compliance. Can't say the same for when we went to Idaho this summer where maybe 60-70% had masks on in the store despite the sign on the door asking people to wear them. Be safe and have a great time. I'm sure the other campers are looking at you on rollers 'wtf is that about?'.

You must've been in a fancy grocery store. When we were in NC in the summer I definitely noticed that the nicer the area and the nicer the store, the higher the mask usage. I've noticed the same thing when we went to the mountains in PA later in the year. More rural and less fancy areas had much lower mask usage.

There is not so much cycling stuff to brag about for my kid. I try to brag a bit, but it is mostly not cycling related.
We've been in CO the last bit. He's sking with a few cylists now. USAC team cyclist seem to rather ski (another topic). His goal is more "I want to fly fighters". Which might happen.
He is still the CO Pro 1 crit champ, and likely will not defend it. He is huge now (think track) and is pretty much over racing altough I can't imagine anyone beating him in a sprint. Easy to say without a test.
I have my spiked tires ready to do a few snow/ice rides, but I'm clearly a rec guy and so is Puppy Doge. Daniel was going to focus on VOS only 15 miles from where he lives now, but that is canceled so riding spiked tires in the snow and flying fighters is a more resonable goal.
USAC - I follow a lot and are friend's with parents and I think they pretty much are still doing it wrong. I have no hope for USAC or USA racers Internationally. The good news is there are many more important things.

He just soloed a few weeks ago. Next week he is back at Luke AFB (the F35s base near PHX), but he will not solo and may not even fly there. He likely will not fly again until late march and should solo a twin engine jet trainer by june/july. March starts a scheduled 12hour/day year training. About this time next year he will find his aircraft.

2020 tried one last time to get me. Skiing in bounds (but double black area) on Mt Hood I triggered an avalanche that buried me to my forehead. I spent about 20 min trapped in the snow unable to move until someone heard my yells for help, saw the tip of my helmet poking out and dug me out. Never been scared like that before. 20201230_Heather Canyon - Northwest Avalanche Center (nwac.us)
Have a happy, safe year everyone.
