Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Holy ****. I found 3 drills in the house - a corded one with ****ed up chuck jaws (wouldn't hold a bit straight), a cordless with a dead-to-the-world battery, and another cordless with the most pitiful torque I've ever experienced. On top of that, every Phillips bit was rounded and would cam out of the screw heads. Those ****** tools turned a 10 minute job in to an hour plus of frustration.

I hear ya. I didn’t buy a new bit kit with the new drills last night. My old bit kit is about as useful as my old drill. Trying to hang new blinds up and it’s taking much longer than it should.

Plot thickens. Our window measures 34.5 inches across. When we bought the blinds last night they came in either 34 or 35. I wanted to buy the 34s, Mrs wanted to buy the 35s. Guess what we left with.

Got the clamps up and went to put the blinds up and it’s 3 mm too wide. Sigh, Will have to go back tonight and get the 34.

I do like some of their music and they generally used awesome session musicians, but Becker was a ******. I dealt with him a time or two when his usual salesman was busy and was only too happy to say, "why don't I just set you up with some music in our best room until Vince is ready to help you out? Ok, bye."

On Pandora, I hit the “pass” button if SD comes on.

I lived with some bikers in 1976. Harley type bikers. It was an experience. Frampton Comes Alive was played there often.

The vapid cleverness is part of the charm.

Having been born in '76, I grew up familiar with some of their songs but not knowing who they were by and didn't even have the inkling that some of these disparate songs were by the same band. It wasn't until my early-to-mid-20s that I learned, "oh, this is SD and this is SD, too. Oh... ew - this is SD, as well."
