what is best for megarange freewheel: oversized pulley or long cage and why
what is best for megarange freewheel: oversized pulley or long cage and why? or both
(i search for low end shimano ihave 6speed freewheel)
the why is important.
here is and explanation i found for the use of big pulley but why would the big pulley be in the end and not in the middle?
..megarange is large difference in size requires a large derailleur pulley, to make sure that the chain has cleared the teeth on the last cog, in order to shift into this gear.
If you use a smaller pulley on the derailleur, you may be able to get it to shif buy pressure one the 34t cog.
below an example of a oversized pulley

The derailleur is designed as a system, and the cage and pulleys are designed to complement each other.

What advantage are you looking for? Larger pullies serve several purposes, but can be counterproductive if not applied and used correctly. I wouldn't worry about the pulley size on a new derailleur -- just get a derailleur that is designed with a maximum sprocket size of whatever you need for your MegaRange freewheel (probably 34 teeth), and that provides enough chain wrap for your drivetrain (which is a different number, and which includes the ability to store enough chain to support multiple chain rings on your crankset), and you should be fine.

hi
i finally got one .
for all my conclusion is that long cage is more important but time will tell if a small pulley breaks more easily than a large.
end tx
