The E5 is an amazing Road Bike!
(for those that may be unfamiliar with the frameset)
The workmanship on this frame is impeccable... welding, paint and decals. It's a superb piece of engineering. To me, this frame was second to none in terms of performance for the price. The bike is direct, UBER responsive, tracts perfectly, corners beautifully and is confidence inspiring. It's VERY stiff.... no flex in the chain stays or bottom bracket, and yet with the Specialized carbon seatpost, fork and and handlebar setup...it doesn't beat you up, even on an all day ride. Not as forgiving as a full carbon, but soaks up the rough stuff surprisingly well. I think it's aluminum done the right way. I love this bike. At just 16.5 lbs., acceleration and climbing are IMPRESSIVE!
Well maintained and in near mint condition.
MSRP $3800
Unhappily ....I'm selling my favorite "modern" bike, as age and injuries (neck) have conspired to send me in the direction of a (fearfully) "Upright" riding position. The carbon steerer tube precludes the tall stem/stack of spacers I'm probably looking at.
I'll be shopping for a (non-carbon fork) replacement bike.
Feel free to ask for additional info. / photos.
$1100 or Trade
Cheers
