Well I tuned the bike up. Fitted the vittoria's, third cage and double wrapped the handlebars with fitznik tape over a layer of old salsa cork tape.

I took a test drive and played with tire pressure. I think I like it around 130. Seems a tad faster. This bike does flex a little to absorb some road buzz and harshness.

My favorite tires so far have been randonneur vittoria's they ride the best. They are just a touch slow and a huge pain to mount if I ever got a flat. Not to appealing for my first century ride. I just got 1000 miles out of them with ZERO flats. The rear started to flatten and the front was abused by some rocks.

Feels faster with the newer tires

Play around with it till you find the right number, for me 120 rear, 118 front...perfect!

Because proper pressure of a vehicles tires depends on the weight supported by the tire. The only bike I've ever seen with equal weight front/rear was a very small frame for a chick. My own bikes have nearly double the load on the rear compared to the front.

What kind of front rack is that? I don't think I've ever seen one mount like that.
