A chilly start for a 20 mile ride, although it did finally get to "partly cloudy" so there was more sun than yesterday!

Did the radar catch you speeding?

37 miles on a blue bird, cloudless day. Temp was 28F when I left the house in the morning but then rose to mid 30s F by midday. Stopped off at an out of the way restaurant for coffee and delicious home made coffee cake. Still no snow in these parts so no skiing yet unless I go way north to Maine or New Hampshire.

Thirty miles this morning in Pasadena, Caifornia, mostly around the Rose Bowl area.

This is not my usual ride route, so it was nice to explore new areas.

In a few short weeks this area is going to be filled with people attneding the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl game.

Today, however, the area was nearly empty....perfect for bike riding and exploring.

Just my regular 10 mile ride to work. 39F/4C and light rain, but I was dressed for it, so it was actually kind of nice.

This is just a nice loop out of my house. Cup of coffee at 40 miles tasted pretty good given the cold temps. Well, cool for us anyway.
https://app.strava.com/activities/31327899
And some "sights" along the way. Didn't see any Buffalo, however.
Would this to own this place!

Some out buildings. Probably a mansion someplace back there?

Indian country apparently. So says the signage.

Poster's Note: the photo links, above, appear to still work although I can no longer see the photos in Photobucket. It appears they rolled out the "new look" prematurely.

First real outdoor ride since the tendinitis. Went to the MUP and got in 15 moderately paced miles in 78* temps and a 5 mph wind. Wanted to do another 15 miles but decided not to press my luck.

Not today - raining - but rode to work and back yesterday. 20 miles. Upper 20's in the AM and upper 40's in the PM.

John,
I am glad to hear you did ride a bit today and it sounds like a good idea to stop when you felt it was best. No sense in re-injuring the knee when you have waited this long. This way I am positive you can finish out the year with no more interruptions. Rode Lots and Ride Safe.

Raining and cool today. Rode on my trainer 26 minutes while watching some of my latest training video from Sufferfest. Still recovering from hernia surgery, but it's slowly getting better. Slowly. It's been 6 weeks.

24 miles, chilly and partly cloudy, picked up some new, alloy body/cage pedals, for the commuter, the cheap OEM, "resin body/steel cage" uints, cracked on the underside of the resin body, still I got 2700 miles out of them!

75 miles today, group of 4. Last long ride before a 100 miler next Saturday. Temp was 85 at the end of the ride with wind gusts of 25+.

But we're supposed to get a real cold front on Monday

Thanks Bill! I plan on taking it very easy for the first few weeks. This would be my third day in a row riding, so I may just take tomorrow off and give the knee a rest.

I did another moderately paced, 15 mile ride today at the MUP. Gorgeous weather and not much wind today, but the place was packed with several cub and boy scout troops and a bunch of families out doing casual rides. I did find one part of the loop where I was all alone so I tried riding at my normal pace and in my usual gear range. Couldn't believe just how much two months off the bike took out of me. My normal pace (18-20 mph) that I did throughout most of my 30 mile rides got me winded after 1/2 mile. Boy! Have I got some catching up to do.
