25 miles in 22+ mph winds and a mix of gravel, dirt and paved roads. Tired me out. Near 70F here in Chicago land, unfortunately it will be short lived - back to 40s. My crank on my new bike started creaking - a lot. There is so something definitely wrong with it for sure. To the shop

Got in a 20 mile recovery ride this afternoon on the local urban bike paths. 70° NW Wind 18 Gusts 23 MPH Will probably try to ride again tomorrow as they are predicting cold rain and snow for mid-week.

12 miles on the Screamer today. Would have ridden farther but we loaded the tandem onto the roof of the Mazda 5 for the first time. (Traded in the minivan so........no more loading long bikes right down the middle of the interior.) Drove five miles to and from a local park to start our ride - we normally bike to and from. Very nice Spring weather today but looking at rain much of this week.

Logged 140 miles this weekend in prep for a 200K next Saturday. Nothing unusual on the weather, 80s to mid 90s with winds only in the 15-25 mph range for once Plan to carb up for the ride next Saturday.

50 miles today, about a third of it was on the Sammamish River trail

Stopped for lunch at the Velodrome. There was a track class going on.

I met up with my training partner on the return leg.

7 1/2 miles on sat. on the Badger rail trail. It was still a bit soft and snow covered in spots. I struggled and then to add insult to injury, the rear tire flatted. Fortunate that I remembered my tool bag and spare tube. Of course, walking home would not have been so difficult.

A nice and hot day with calm winds for a 36 mile ride. Feels like the middle of summer and summer isn't even here yet.

12 miles this evening. Had some tailwind on a flat smooth mile and a half bit - was able to get up to speed and hold it there. Nice.

28 miles this afternoon.

4 more days to my century ride for the Tour de Cure:Hampton Roads. Looks like part of the ride, or all, will be in the rain. Sure glad I got that wind/light rain jacket.

14 miles today as a storm is supposed to hit tonight with snow a possibility on fri. Of note was running with dogs at three different spots on a route where I've not seen one for years. They were, however, all friendly or at least left no bite marks.

26 miles this AM.

Taking the bike to the LBS to have them do a thorough safety check and adjustments. Don't want any surprises on my Tour de Cure:Hampton Roads Century on Saturday--especially since it's likely I'll be riding in the rain for at least part of the ride.

On Friday, I will have to work hard to make sure I do an easy spin ride to keep the muscles loose for the century--I don't want to fatigue the legs the day before a 102 mile ride.

Got in a nice 35.5 mile ride with some brutal head/cross winds at the MUP today with temps in the mid 80's. Almost got knocked over twice in a one mile span by some crosswinds while on the aerobars. Hopefully, tomorrow's ride won't have as much wind.

I went after today's ride to get a Retul adjustment for this weekend's MS 150. Weather forecast says 50-60% chance of mid-afternoon, rain and thunderstorms on Saturday and sunny and hot for Sunday's, 50 mile return trip. Last year there was a severe thunderstorm warning for the mid-afternoon and they shut down the century and the 75 mile route. I hope they don't do it again this year. Have fun on your century and hope you get through it without any incidents.

No riding except my commute, ~12.5 miles A'boro over to Albion Rd in Lincoln, RI. And back of course. What a pleasant day. Except for one idiot who couldn't wait to jump on the rt146 on-ramp. (I gave him, ah, a digit and then proceeded on my merry way.)

Out after work - got in a couple of miles before realizing that a storm was blowing in - got home before the rains came. Luckily, most of the storm was just to our south and blew past us in a half hour. Then, got out for a ten mile ride.

A very hot (86º) ride with some pretty strong head/cross winds for today's 34 mile ride. After fighting these winds all week, today's ride really wore me out. Need to get rested for this weekend's MS 150.

Failed ride. Started in Front Royal, VA on the Skyline Drive, intending to go about 25 miles and then turn around to go back to my starting point. But ran into dense fog after about 10 miles and gave up and went back to my car. My Garmin GPS says I had 2,800 feet in elevation gain over the 23 miles I rode, but I want to come back next week and do the ride I intended to do.
