Did you ride today?

Sounds like it's windy all across 50+ Land. I did intervals today but it's not easy holding a steady power output in gusty 16 mph winds. Total miles - 22.9

5 miles today back home in Indiana after being in AZ for a week for son's wedding. No biking while there but did do some Sonoran Desert hiking at South Mountain near Phoenix.

Back in the saddle Monday for the first time in 11 days on the Allez for 19.9 miles (been riding the trike), and sprained the right hand - just as the left healed. Arrgh. Stuck On Stupid today - went to VA for a cancelled appt. (duh), just couldn't get it together so only 3.1 miles on the trike. Tomorrow's another day.

Tuesday afternoon, another 25+ miler, more beautiful weather to enjoy. The peanut harvest, as well as the cotton, is stretching out longer than usual, this year. Have to watch the debris in the roads where the tractors and combines are turning around, even dry it gets slippery as it is frayed and worn, when its wet, it will put you on your back in a heartbeat, and stuff like thorns and wood splinters hide in the patches as well.

Still keeping the legs rested for this weekend so this morning I did a nice and slow 20 mile ride with the wife in some beautiful Florida weather.

15.1 miles on a cold morning (45°) on the Sirrus with both wrist braces on. It'll be several more days before I can attempt either of the drop bar road bikes. That's okay, I love the trike.

34 miles @ 16.5 with 850 feet. Just a spectacular day for a ride. Mid 60's Light Wind. Met a potential riding Bud on the road today. Seems like a nice guy and a good rider.

The usual ride yesterday, winds are back, nothing harsh, though. Still harvesting the peanuts, they are even harvesting the vines and leafs, to use for forage and feed. Big, large rolls, like you see for hay sometimes. The cotton is waiting for the peanuts to finish up, then it will look like snow drifts in some places. I love the fall, and the riding weather we have, its our dry season, too. Life is very nice.

The weather is still good, just cold (43°) in the mornings. 18.2 miles on the usual route (w/o the Queen Way loop) on the trike. I'll try the Roubaix w/both wrist braces (cumbersome) soon, maybe tomorrow. I miss my bikes.

I rode 16.39 miles today.... slightly exceeding my annual goal of 2000 miles. I will continue to ride as long as the [local Midwestern] weather allows. I will only continue to log my miles... for maybe the remainder of October.

Sounds like a great reason to lift a glass, or three, and celebrate, fietsbob, congratulations on the B-day, and on being a big part of our cycling world, here at Bikeforums.net
Yesterday was 26+ miles, the winds are somewhat stiffer, nothing severe by any means. Did some cranking, and pushed it on our mole hillsto get in some extra work.

Happy 68th. I have #70 (officially old) coming up in Dec.
22.2 quick miles today on the Roubaix - with both wrist braces. It's been 2 weeks since I rode this puppy. Feels good.
Really cold at 8:30. Turned around and went home. Made some adjustments to the handlebars and went back out (after ditching the cumbersome ski gloves). It warmed up by 10° in that half hour. Beautiful day out now.

Rode a meandering approx. 20 miles Friday afternoon between t-storms while working out some kinks in brake and derailer adjustments. Got the brakes set up well enough, but managed to screw up the front derailer adjustment after dropping the chain. No problem, just finished the ride on the middle chainwheel. Gives me an excuse to ride again tomorrow and finish the adjustments. (Note to self: remember, the high and low adjustment screws are exactly the opposite of where you keep thinking they are. )

Friday: Another 19 mile bike commuting day. A bit cool in the AM but warmish in the PM. Rained a bit but not until shortly after getting home.

15.1 miles on the Allez (still wearing both wrist braces). Flat on the Roubaix and a problem with rear derailleur - LBS time.
Overcast and nasty out so I didn't ride the loop.
Did get the derailleurs fixed (complicated mechanisms) and went for another 7.2 on the Roubaix (total 22.3).

Took a break this past week after last week's 398 miles and was hoping for a good LBS ride but NOOOO WAY! They started out nicely and then went bonkers at mile 3 riding at 24mph then 26mph then 28mph and I was ready to die. Things settled down for a while and then they were GONE! Was last rider back to LBS after 37 miles, quick rest stop then off to finish with 76 miles. Walking 5 miles with wife at 0600 tomorrow to get ready for next month's Space Coast Half Marathon with a Disney Cruise the day after.

Rode the 47 mile route of the Great Pumpkin Ride out of Warrenton, VA with my friend and neighbor Russ. Beautiful fall weather, nice fall foliage, and tasty food at the rest stops (a lot of pumpkin this and pumpkin that, as you might imagine). We didn't push the pace, and had a fine time chatting about things, including his recent family trip to Spain. Great ride.

Took the bike for 10 mile ride after repacking wheel bearings with grease. The click clack noise is gone.
