Carratera Austral in '26

In January next year a couple friends and I are doing a motorcycle tour in Chile and Argentina, which got me thinking of maybe doing a bicycle tour in 2026 on and around the Carratera Austral through Patagonia in southern Chile.

Any suggestions, places not to miss, hidden gems, favorite routes?

Thanks

I cycled in 2017 as part of a supported ride. I started unsupported in Prudhoe Bay but did the stretch from Puerto Montt to Ushuaia as part of a supported ride.

My suggestion would be to at least include the section you can do with a bicycle and not a motorcycle. In particular, from Villa O'Higgins take the ferry down and then across short bit of Chile and then into El Chalten Argentina - https://www.bicyclepatagonia.com/sou...ns-el-chalten/
