Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Indoor bike storage

I recently had to move, I no longer have a basement to store and maintain my bikes. I'm looking for a wall type unit to "hang" my bikes from. Something quality built that won't damage my bikes. One bike weighs 15.5lbs and the other 26lbs. Any ideas?

This little hangar costs $7.99 at the local hardware store. Works fine with my 30 lbs MTB too.

If it holds up, I love it.

Does it have a "name"? Where in the big box would I find it?

Well, to be honest, the store is only in Canada - called "Canadian Tire". But if you go to Home Depot, there is a shed/garage organization section where they have all kinds of hooks and racks - they have a similar piece to what I posted above.

One like this since it will be in my bedroom and will be free standing. I do like the ultimate velo however

this is my favorite method - saw it posted here somewhere and saved the image so I could replicate the setup later - so apologies to the person whose bike/picture this is.

I've used this setup, though, and like it quite a bit.

Yeah maybe just the hardware a little bit. I kinda like the idea though. You could decorate your walls with bikes rather than silly pictures.
