Where do I find pedallec conversion parts?

I have been looking for resources for converting a bicycle into a pedal start motor scooter (where you ride it like a standard bike before the motor kicks in, I hear these called a pedallec) and am finding very little outside the occasional Instructable. Where can I find parts for such a project? One thing in particular I want to find is a clutch I can engage or disengage manually to let me ride without involving the chainsaw motor or to get going, "flip it in", and take off. Where would I look for this type of clutch? Where should I post the question?

A Pedelec uses an electric motor and the Electric Bikes subforum would probably have info. But, you mention chainsaw motor and all I can think of is Leatherface. Scary!
