How bad is Calistoga Road?
For folks who know their Sonoma County roads--
I'm planning on riding this Sunday from Guerneville to St. Helena (and on to Vallejo, but that's not important for the moment) and I've wanted to try the St Helena Road / Spring Mountain Road climb.
I'll be coming from Wallace / Riebli Roads and cutting over via Badger Road, so I'll need to be on Calistoga Road for around 2 miles to reach St. Helena Road. I've seen a few mentions of the traffic and narrowness of Calistoga Road making it unusually dangerous / unpleasant. Is it really so terrible? On a Sunday around midday? I'm used to riding in traffic but try to avoid spots that are truly life-threatening and/or miserable.
Thanks!

It's a really narrow road with lots of blind corners and fast drivers and no shoulders to speak of. On Sunday midday, the thing to worry about are "tasters" (drunk drivers)
