This is beautiful—I am gobsmacked. Though it is killing me that there isn't a clear view of the track ends! I'd love so much to see the details of the rear interface... Especially as everything else about it is so delightful

Pictures of the rear dropouts as promised. Nothing special but certainly nice enough.
The Trek shop owner came by today, (a short walk) and we put a Jagwire cable through the top tube run, expected a fight but there is a tube inside the top tube and the cable housing goes in one end and out the other with no issue.
The 28 Gatorskins run a little tight but not close enough to cause any issues and there is scads of adjustment room.
Tomorrow it gets a Miche Primato crank, brakes should be here in a day or so, Sram Red calipers..circa 2008 I think

(above) Rockin' and rollin' this for 50 years now
I paid $125 for my Peugeot PX-10E in 1971... (I was 15 years old at the time and making $2.10 an hour)
It's been through the typical changes and now it's like this.
Phil hubs and bottom bracket (in service and spinning smooth since the mid '70's)
Allen head theft resistant hubs skewers...
New Schwalbe tires - 700c x 32 front, 700c x 35 rear
1980's Campy Athena crankset.
Double sided MKS pedals (SPD / plarform)
1970's Mafac Criterium cantilever brakes with Black Koolstop shoes and Tektro RL340 brake levers (new)
2015 Brooks Professional saddle...(I still have the original Brooks Pro saddle, but it's now retired)
American Classic seatpost with Campy binder bolt.
Specialized drop bars (80's version)
Campy Neuvo Record French thread headset.
Canti braze on's, rack and water bottle bosses and seat tube replacement (rusted through) by Paul Sadoff in the late 70's.
Bead-blasted and powder coated in 2015.
(above) Kind of hard to see, but there are a pair of hub polishers / cleaners I made from coarse Scotchbrite pads - Gorrilla Tape and bolts (to keep them from rotating with the wheels)...
(above) I love simplicity...

^^^ Very nice job ! Curious as to why you chose a track bar. I had a Peugeot UO-8, because I was too poor to own a PX-10E.

$125.00 divided by $2.10 per hour = I worked 59.52 hours to earn that thing... After school, part time... Delivering phone books door to door, roasting peanuts (dirty, dirty work), and working at a bulk mail center folding paper day after day on big, hot, noisy machines that smelled like hot oil...
As a long term investment, it's been priceless..!!!...
The bars are just what was available at a LBS in Santa Cruz at the time... One of those pre-internet things... I love 'em...
I also remember being so broke that I couldn't afford a spare tubular tire and more than once I un-stiched a flat tire and fixed the tube, then sewed it back up on the shoulder of the road... Just what it was...

P.L. That is one very sweet bike! What gear ratio are you running? The track bars are a nice look and I may try that on one of mine,
Hub polishers...every day I look at my bikes and think of putting hub polishers on the hubs, something I remember from my long ago past. We would tie on pieces of clothes line rope on the hubs and put a few drops of Never Dull on the rope whenever you would remember, you tie a double knot in the rope and the weight of the knot acts as the opposing force on the rope and the hub always looks super clean and shiny.
Thanks for posting the pictures of that great bike, very tastefully done.

Thanks buddy...!!!...
I checked it out and yes, it was skewed, a little...
So I get the Allen wrenches out, straighten it out and SNAP, the Campy Binder Bolt shears off...!!!...
Only been on there since the 70's...
Thanks buddy, for pointing that out to me......!!!...
Apparently, it's pretty common for those to break...

Not to be pedantic, but that works out to 66.5 gear inches with a 700 x 35c rear tire according to my gear calculator >>> BikeCalc.com - Bicycle Gear Inches Chart

2013 Interpro Keirin
I began searching for a Korean keirin frame last summer and finally found a suitable one this January: A beautiful 2013 Interpro built with Columbus Spirit Keirin tubing and Nagasawa lugs, ends, and bb shell. I then built a wheelset for it and tinkered with the build while waiting patiently for the weather to allow for an inaugural ride, which was allowed for today...

Someone tell me about these keirin frames, I see them all over ebay at fairly low prices. They appear they are not set up for brakes so single speed may be an issue. It also appears they can run a decent size tire so they may make a good road bike.
Are these limited to fixed gears and track use only?
