Santafixie wheels......are they any good or should I save my money???

Santafixie wheels......are they any good or should I save my money???
Afternoon all! New to the Bikeforums world here!
I’m interested in getting a front 5 spoke wheel for my single speed/fixie and have come across a couple on the Santafixie website. Don’t know a lot about them and can’t find many solid reviews on the products. Does anyone know about their wheels? Any good? Any advice altogether on going for a 5 spoke rim? Worth going for or avoiding as they can’t be trued etc?
Any advice/help will be greatly appreciated thank you 🙏🏼

Hmm, I don't see that wheel on the SantaFixie website. But the other SantaFixie wheels seem decent quality with Miche Primato hubs and stainless steel spokes. Since you can't true a one piece wheel, if it's out of true from the factory, you're out of luck.

How weird. Defo on there when you search ‘5 spoke front wheel’ @ £144.80. Yeah this was my thought with not being able to true them.....but with so many people getting this type of wheel, I wondered how people get on with them

A definite thumbs down for the weight alone. That's more than twice the weight of a typical spoked front wheel. Steering and maneuvering is very difficult with a heavy front wheel. Also, it doesn't appear to be very good quality, with no mention of the hub brand. If all you care about is looks, then go for it because it's not very expensive, but at that price you are risking that it will not be very round or true.

That is a definite, no, no, nyet, nein, non, níl, nem, chan eil, bù, nei, cha, a'ole... Mag wheels were kinda cool back in the 70s and maybe into the 80s on BMX bikes but low quality heavy boat anchors shaped like circles are not fun to ride and not worth the dime it cost them to make them. An entire wheel generally shouldn't be one piece unless it is molded carbon. I like to be able to true my wheels or have them be of high enough quality I know they will not need to be trued.
If you are serious about 5 spoke wheels the Mavic IO track wheels are what you want but they are specialist track components for those who race. It looks like Miche also makes some wheels and this Santa Fixie Klause sells them. SKF bearings are always good but they are tubular which if you are just buying for looks might not be great for your riding.Though honestly if I am not I want a traditionally spoked wheel that I can true and get some light suspension out of and fix if something goes wrong and if I like heavy stuff I can get a Phil Wood hub which looks so sexy but is a heavy hitter hub.
