I think the only Stephen King miniseries I ever watched was Storm of the Century. Back then I liked it. Not sure what I'd think now.

I'd like to see a remake of The Stand. It could be done better and would be relevant again. Although King should consider revising and updating the story.

The original Narcos series and then the Narcos: Mexico series, both on NetFlix.
Was fairly impressed. Very violent, of course, some of it. But mostly a dramatization of the behind-the-scenes politicking and gamesmanship in the drug business from Escobar's through the early Sinaloans' time in the business. Nasty bunch, those guys. It's interesting to see the current state of affairs in Mexico, Central America and northern South America, given what initial building-blocks were put into place back in the '70s and '80s.

The Good Place. Some of the finest writing, casting and comedic acting going imo. Ted Danson and Kristen Bell are brilliant.
Makes philosophy relevant and we sure need a little of that.

Better Call Saul, 4 seasons on Netflix. Breaking Bad was a wonderful surprise because I put off watching it for years. BCS does not disappoint, and in some cases might actually be better than BB. Now I have to wait for season 5 to finish up and drop to Netflix
.

We've been watching the new Perry Mason show on HBO. Two episodes in and it has been really good so far.

Queen of the South. Think this one was/is on the USA Network.
Totally off my radar in that I had scrolled past it a million times in Netflix. One of my work buddies asked me if I watched and highly recommended it. Been watching it two episodes at a time...I would like to binge it, lol.
Caught me right from the beginning. Lots going on with a neat spin on main seeing herself from the future with reassurances and instinctive advice type thing. I am not through the first season yet. It is 'funny' in some aspects that the motives and intelligence of the characters seem to be so high at times and then other details are almost to a point of silly as to not be thought of. Sort of typical TV fare for this manner of show.
I really like the current boss lady, Carmella or some such. Neat show and so far fun to watch.

Atlanta Season 1. I've been enjoying the show. Subtle humour, good character development, subtle discussion about race politics, good views of Atlanta. I'd give it 9 / 10.

Storm of the Century has held up better. It was much harder edged, more like King's novels, and with a better cast and directing.
I'd like to see a remake of The Stand. It could be done better and would be relevant again. Although King should consider revising and updating the story.

There is a new miniseries version of the Stand coming out sometime this year. I believe King did rewrite the ending for it also.

bikecrate I just discovered Venture Brothers. Love it. Very much reminds me of Johnny Quest from when I was a kid.

I've recently stumbled across Not Going Out, written by British comedian Lee Mack.
Quite enjoyable and funny.

I can't believe I'm writing it here, but over the course of a couple weeks I watched the entire single short season of The Tick.
I'm a Patrick Warburton fan and he plays a good idiot as The Tick. The show, mostly Warburton, made me smile and laugh out loud, but the show as a whole is rather lame in hindsight. Still, I've seen much, much worse television than The Tick.
I can't really rate it properly, so I won't.

Yellowstone on Paramount Network. I may have mentioned it again but this is IMO the best series on TV right now, certainly my favorite. Good actors, good storyline, bad guys that keep getting better, fun side stories and characters you can love, hate, appreciate. 10/10.
I am going to have to revisit my review of Queen of the South. The characters are both genius and idiot at the same time. HUGE holes in the plot line, story line. Things like how the hell did that just "happen", etc. The lead "bad woman" character has this hugely overinflated opinion of herself and her ability and is constantly putting herself in situations to lose and still manages against all sense to come out on the good side. It's ridiculous. It's further development seems to be ******** in the way a daytime soap opera is. It's just a rag that keeps on getting used up. I am so involved as this point that I can't stop watching either. I swear it's like "Days of our Lives" got me....so bad, and I can't stop. Send help.

Brassic (UK), absolutely loved it, powered through season 2 (6 eps) in one sitting.
Reminded me a bit if This Is England as it has one of the same actors - Joe Gilgun, very underrated.

Watched episode 1 of the HBO series Chernobyl (2019) a while ago, but didn't really get into it. Watched episode 2 out of boredom the other day and now I'm hooked! Really like the way it shows how the Soviets dealt with the issue and the internal politics of various parties associated with the disaster.

I'm rewatching Band of Brothers on HBO. It's amazing how many actors got their start or were early in their careers in the show.
