It has been a very nice Christmas... I got a kilt and some plane tickets and some very nice things that some might consider small and insignificant but they were gifts of the heart.

I like the idea of the DVD however, I don't think any of the techniques would work well with a longtail cargo bike. That is just my opinion, not having seen the DVD.
My Christmas was awesome.

I had more enjoyment giving this year than ever. My father in law is a 90 years young veteran of WWII and I did a lot of research and found out all the medals and ribbons and other items he was entitled to but somehow never got. I ordered the medals and a display case to mount them in. I also got him a reproduction jacket that the tank guys wore back then. He was an infantryman and I tried to order the M-41 field jacket they were issued but they were so far back ordered I got the tanker jacket. Its a much nicer item that they were issued and its period correct. My wife embroidered his name and U.S.Army in OD green with the years he served in between in black letters on the left chest. She sewed his unit patch on the left arm and an American flag on the right arm. He was surprised and appreciated my efforts which I was glad of since he did not look fondly on his WWII days so it was a better Christmas for me to have done the research and effort to see him smile.

No, not really, but you never know.
Not all the techniques demonstrated require lifting of the bike, many standard strikes, kicks, grabs and locks are shown. The instructor is skilled in a variety of martial arts and weapons, and obviously has spent some time thinking through and practicing tactics that a cyclist could use to defend themselves if approached by thugs while out riding. Anyone who trains in martial arts and loves to bike like I do would find it interesting and helpful even if they never get jumped. I haven't even watched the whole thing yet.
