I'll tooling around the Eastern Shore for a week or so. Any one know a good dinner or road side attraction? My campsites are all short hops from each other , so I've got the time to poke around and make the most of the one meal a day that falls between oatmeal and Spamsurprise. Thanks, woody

I was just thinking about crabs recently. 🤔 I could probably settle for a good crab cake sub, if you're not steaming a whole bushel-full. 😁

The Crab Claw in St. Michaels is nice. Great maritime museum next door.

Hello Woody, have not forgotten about looking at your bikes, just have not been able to get to your area. If you are going to be near Bethany Beach let me know. Maybe we can hook up a ride together for a while. There are a lot of good spots here for food. In Millville/Ocean View on rte 26/Atlantic Ave, Casapula's is very good for subs and pizza. In downtown Bethany, Pommadora's Pizza is really good, you can get it by the slice. It is on the NW corner Garfield and Atlantic one block off the boardwalk. I am free for the summer, let me know.

I have not actually done a tour on the Eastern Shore, but have ridden, sailed, and otherwise spent a lot of time there.

I'd second St Michaels and the Crab Claw as a stop. The Oxford Ferry may be a nice option on the way there. The Maritime Museum is a good one if you have any interest in that kind of thing. We used to do day rides there, usually a loop including the ferry and lunch at the Crab Claw. We also used St Michaels as a sailing destination when we had a sailboat in the Chesapeake Bay. Lots of good times there. Some of our nicer memories of Maryland (we are in Tallahassee, FL these days).

There are also lots of other quicker lunch stops if you want to just grab a sandwich or something. St Michaels is a touristy town so if you are in to browsing little shops there are dozens of those.

On the weekends you may be able to hit some church chicken barbecue dinners around the eastern shore.

I once did an overnighter from Middletown, DE to St. Michaels and back. Took the Oxford Ferry mentioned above. Nice ride. I think we ate dinner at Sam's.

I should have also mentioned that there are lots of little restaurants in St Michaels. Too long ago for me to remember names or even to be sure they are still there, but plenty of options will be available. I recall having a lot of good meals there.
