That last one sounds fun.

Uh, just what sort of 'Romance' novels do you write?

Back story: 2 or 3 weeks before a 1/2 Ironman (oct 27) I had to stop running due to a back issue.
When I was transitioning from basketball to cycling and running, I had some lower back issues running. About the 10 mile mark the lower back would start talking to me and I would have to walk. The muscles in question are right where the glutes/cheek stop and connect to the pelvis. They are deep in there under the glute layers. The gym I go to has it all. Core exercises weren't helping. I started doing yoga classes. That and swimming were helping overall, but not for that specific spot. Planks and bridges weren't really doing much either. I started concentrating on stretching the back of the body from the plantar fascia to the shoulders. The gym has an angled sliding plank machine that does the trick. You start in a plank position with your knees or toes on a panel. You then slide the panel upward as your knees fold and come to your chest. Then back to the original position. That machine does what is needed. It stretches/works those muscles. I continue to use it and haven't had a problem since.

Hopefully, she's as good a writer as Joan Wilder. That lady was a great romance writer. She got to live out one of those fantasies as well.

Lots of angst. And I normally torture my characters in ironic ways. My brilliant young attorney character suddenly developed anxiety when speaking in front of people. My firefighter character lost half a leg and then fell in love with an insurance agent while trying to get back into the station. My artist nearly killed his nephew, lost part of his dominant hand in an accident and then saved the heroine from the same fate as his nephew. I killed off one character's wife two days after a wedding when she went out for a run and had a had a heart attack at 22...and the heroine is a runner. I have one hero who was left a list of his shortcomings by his ex-girlfriend when she walked out so he's working his way through the list....and halfway through the novel he realizes "be more aware" is written on the list three times.

You turn up a new Ironman yet? I'm planning on doing that Patriots day ride, by the way. I'll get to show off my Centurion!

Nah, I'm a trained journalist. My vocabulary is limited to a sixth grade level and I try to be concise.

Are you going to look into this one? If not I may although I don't need another 56. I have to change the stem to make them work.

Hmmm, wonder if it could be this one? https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/bi...037381897.html
Man I Like It....a LOT.
Better component group, wheels and tires. I'd use it (as is) as a get around Ironman.
Definitely a Fair Price.

I'll bet it is. I would now offer $50 but I don't even think I'll do that. Its just not my idea of a Ironman and I have some classic flat bar bikes. One was free one was $5 and one I gave a premium $32.50 for.

Here's a pic.

Actually leaving it the way it is may be too quick handling for those used to hybrid bikes. Easy remedy, Change out the stem, bars And shifters and you got an upgraded Ironman.

I needed to show my kids the playing card in the spokes thing. How do kids not know this stuff these days?

It was really easy to find them after that... Unfortunately, they keep doing it to my bike in the trainer...

For sure I'm quite old. "Back in my day we used balloons because they were 10 cents a package and cards were 1 dollar. The Balloons lasted only as long as needed til we lost interest". <<<all said in my old man voice.
My question, did anyone else ever use balloons?
