Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I presume it's a requirement that at least one, and possibly both, are CLEARLY with the wrong person, who, as luck would have it, is undeserving of them?

Forensic Files. Instant sleep, though the new one is not nearly as sleep inducing. It's not better, it's just the narrators voices is not nearly as soothing. No one can discuss the abuse of a corpse as calmly as the original dude.

Mrs. GeneJockey loves that stuff, so it's not a good cure for insomnia.

She's taken to listening to a history of genetic engineering and the biotech industry to help her fall asleep. So, apparently my whole career, my whole industry, that has been feeding, clothing and sheltering her for the last 3 decades puts her to sleep.

I used to describe my studies in economics to Mrs. rjones28, when I was in school.

I was watching a GCN video last night where they said that it's not 'lactic acid' that accumulates in your muscles when you've gone anaerobic. No, they said, it's 'lacate'.

O-o-okay. I mean "lactate" is the anion in lactic acid, but okay. Maybe it's Sodium Lacate? Then they said there's a large production of hydrogen ions.

So I thought, "If you have a lot of hydrogen ions, and a lot of 'lactate', don't you just have lactic acid?

Am I wrong here? I mean, chemistry was 40 years ago, but still.....

Those guy wires are tricky.

After crashing, the driver crawled out and, according to a witness, accused passersby of being "Antifa" and having caused the crash
