My last tubeless tires were Schwalbe. They sucked.
For tubeless I only use Hutchinsons. For tube tires, Vittoria. Bikepacking, only Mezcals.

Probably. My Schwalbe One V-Guards came from Jenson, from a bulk pack without individual packaging for each pair. The markings stamped inside the tire don't correspond with anything on the Schwalbe site. But, yeah, probably HS448.
I see them still listed on the Schwalbe site, but a couple of vendor sites say it's no longer available. I assumed the handful still available were unsold old stock.

The Marathon Racers that I run on two bikes are not racing tires? But they say RACER on the sides of the tires! No wonder I'm not winning any Races.

I run Schwalbe Marathons on my gravel bike for the puncture resistance. Not as fast as a dedicated gravel tire but I don’t race.

Back in the day...
when I actually rode on pavement, I bought a set of their Kojacks for the commuter. I was just delighted. They're light and roll easily. Not many flats, though the tires don't seem to be thick in the tread area (no tread). They rolled better with significantly lower than their max pressure on the tire. Still own them, but don't roll around on pavement much anymore. Did like the reflective lettering on a commuter.

I live across the Lakes from you, and couldn't do Winter without studs, either. I have to try Schwalbe studded. Right now I've got a couple sets of Innova. Might as well bungy bricks to my spokes. I get so depressed around Thanksgiving when I make the switch. There goes my nimble handling, easy rolling bike for another six months!

I have a pair of green guard Marathons which are heavy, hard and feel kind of lifeless. I took them off my touring bike in favor of lighter, more supple tires. I put the Schwalbes on my "foul weather" commuting bike because of their puncture resistant reputation.

So when I wanted a tough tire or fast rides on bad pavement or packed cinder/light gravel = Schwalbe S-One 30mm tire. A sale price in the tubular and I became a happy user. Mine measure true to size, seem durable.
But truth be told I can't slam any tire manufacturer - Conti + Vitorria + Vredstein have been fine in the past. Mostly tubular now and Conti + VeloFlex have been my preferred.
Sale prices are important for me, given many bikes. For a fast road ride quality tires are about the highest priority.

A teacher at my junior high school was "Mr. Schwab," and after visiting his ancestral home in Germany, he learned that the correct pronunciation of his name was "shwāb" with a long "a." Until then he'd been pronouncing it to rhyme with "swab." The province of Swabia is also pronounced with a long "a." I'm guessing that the correct pronunciation of Schwalbe is "sway-beh."

Is there a "c" in there? I'd say Sh-vaal-buh, accent on the Sh, but its been years since I lived in Germany, and the Northern German pronounciation I was exposed to is not hoch Deutsch.
There's always a chance that when you respond to a post about, say, German pronounciation, the poster you are responding to writes back and says "I was born and raised in Munich, and studied German literature at Heidelberg, and now teach German in undergraduate and graduate programs at Georgetown, with a side of teaching Foreign Service Officers for the State Department". If that's the case, shool me! Excuse me, school me!
