Okay, it seems like BF has a bunch of Serious Sally's on over the winter. Did folks' senses of humor go south? I had someone tell me they were going to ignore me, on one of my least offensive posts. Announcing you are going to ignore someone is patently not ignoring someone. If they want to do so, just do so. Harrummph.
From 18 months of lurking before joining, I thought the rule was 60% serious posts, 40% utter non-sense. I follow that strictly. But now folks are actually taking this stuff seriously.
And where did LowCel go?
Again I say Harrummph.

75.4 °F outside, weenies.
It's annoyingly windy, though. But I HTFU and rode anyway.

BRASSS system I taught in the Marines as a PMI at Parris Island worked wonders and got me 11 consecutive pistol expert awards...
BREATH, Relax, Aim, Slack, Stop, Squeeze...repeat
The clear tip of the front sight blade, should be half- way up and centered in the FUZZY rear sight aperature. The weapon must fire without your knowledge. A group can be anywhere on the target, with sight adjustment to put you in the black....jerking the trigger will cause a high right mess, looks like your dropping your hand, or closing your eyes in anticipation, at the last second...

It's an Extralite Head. The original version not the new Head2. I got it used off of ebay for $55.95 shipped. I really only got it for the color, since the bikes is now going to be mostly black. Also for the reduced stack height, for the Ouzo Aero I have didn't have as much steerer in the stem as I would of liked. The 20g of savings is a bonus.
Where has LC been lately anyway. I just got back from shooting. One of the guys on "Doomsday Preppers" was saying you have to shoot everyday to be good. He is wrong. I haven't shot in more than 6mo, and I am still surgical with all of my weapons. Well the LCP I wouldn't call surgical, but it has a very short barrel, and terrible sights, but it is a great gun for concealed carry. I have a Leupold 3x9 scope on my AR, so it is pretty easy to shoot anything within 200yards fairly proficiently.

Double cycling travails today.
I'm cruising along, about to make a right turn here. I'm coming off a little hill, and you can see if there's a vehicle ahead at the intersection, so I usually maintain some momentum making the turn.
There's a car slowly passing me, but as you can see, there's a center lane with ample room to go around, so I'm not paying much attention to it. As I was nearing the corner, the car is about halfway past me when I suddenly sense that it's planning on turning right, too.
wut
I have to make a rapid deceleration and cut the turn much shorter than I was planning, as I watch the car go around me. Dopey woman driver didn't even look at me as she went by. What if I had been going straight?
Later, I saw a fellow cyclist approaching in the opposite lane. I offered a friendly wave. He did not reciprocate.
It's a cruel world out there, folks. Such incidents would break a weaker cyclist, but I pedal on.

The best thing about Nyack is no chitchat, just testosterone and anerobic efforts.
