888 on a faith 2
I have a faith 2 2005. It cam with a 170mm jr.t for a fork. I want to get a new fork, one with more adjustability. I have it down to a 66 (170mm) or a 888 (203mm). My question is would putting a 200mm fork on this bike reduce the effectiveness of the maestro suspension, or would it just slaken the head tube angle (not a proble, I like how the demo 9 feels and that has a slck head tube). I don't see the point of having a 170mm 888, when I can get the exact same thing for less in a 66. what are your opinions?

yes, but the 66 has less travel since it is a single crown fork, it is less stff than an 888
besides the travis single crown 200mm version, that is just stupid...

Hard to go wrong with an 888. Should not affect the rear at all. Yes, it will slacken your head angle - -all for the better. You will thank the extra travel and the slacker angle the first time you plow through something waaaayyyy too fast and come out rubber-side down .

Is it possible to get a 66 with more than 170mm. I saw one on ebay that claimed to be 190mm, and i know that marzocchi does make small batches of custom forks for some companies (I called marzochhi up when I broke my dirt jam pro and they had 26 130mm dj3's with super t lowers and dj1 internals that they offered for crash replacement upgrade).

Would it be possible to get a 190mm 66. I know marzocchi makes custom builds for some companies and often has many left over. I also saw one listed on ebay.
