Tacx Neo 2T Trainer Problems
What an expensive piece of crap! It’s a smart trainer that won’t keep a connection to either my iPhone or my laptop. I make sure no other device is on but it connects and disconnects once a minute. I’ve emailed support. If they can’t help me I’m returning it.

Are you using Bluetooth or ANT+? And how is the wifi congestion from your neighbours?

Not good to hear. I was planning to pick one up this winter. Suspect it's just a problem with your unit as I haven't heard of any connection issues from others (plenty of users on Slowtwitch)

I spoke with Garmin CS twice. They were very pleasant, but they were unable to solve the intermittent Bluetooth problem. I purchased my unit from REI. They are sending me another one, and I should have it by Thursday. Hopefully it was just my unit.

It was the unit. REI sent me another unit, and it has no connection problems. Now I'm learning how to use a smart trainer... it makes me feel stupid.

Some apps don't keep a full time connection going between it and the other device. So depending on a lot of other things that might also be user settings on your phone, you might see a connect and disconnect notification or something with any BT or other wifi device.
It would not surprise me if many tech supports are not clued into that yet as until recently, phones sort of obscured that from the user unless the user was specifically looking for it. Now my phone is taking it upon itself to tell me and I really don't care about most.
If your app is not intended for real time live monitoring by a user, then it might just be checking in every so often to gather it's needed data.

Very strange. I've got a launch Neo2T with no issues yet. Glad you got it swapped out. Garmin support has been really good to me.
