Perhaps the silliest question ever. Age ain’t got nothin’ to do with it.
I worked the same job for 39 years. The first 7, I was 1.5 miles from work and would take trips around a mountain to get more miles. For the next 30 years, I was 10 miles away. I’ve ridden to work all year long, every year (I’ve ridden at least once per month since 1977) and never noticed the ride being any different from year to year.

Best thing about advanced age is not having to go to work. I was done with it at 50, hope you don't have too much longer.

56, 8 miles round trip, same employer for 20+ years. Some things have gradually changed. for instance, I no longer carry bad weather gear 100% of the time, like I did at first. And I didn't ride year-round at first, but now I do. But it's an easy, flat ride. It's all of my other riding that has gradually made me a stronger rider, with emphasis on gradually.

Fun question. 59, 24 mile round trip. Age matters for some cycle commuters... they get grumpy as they get old!

For the last few years (59+ aged now) 10 miles round trip. Covidpocalyps, subbed for 15 mile RT exer-fun-ride. Tomorrow, and Wednesday, get to do both. So, 25 miles and I get to dodge death twice! Helping hand out computers (command performance) to families that can't follow covid protocols to save MY life....

Sorry. The question just hit a bit of a nerve. In my experience, us old guys commute more often and have commuted for more time in our lives (we were young once) than any of the younger people around. I’m not saying that young people are lazy...oh, wait. Yes I am
It’s great that you commute. Keep it up! Age really doesn’t have much to do with it.

52 YO.
Direct commute is 6 miles. I usually go straight to work in the mornings, but almost never go straight home. Commute home is rarely less than 12 miles.
Longest commute I had was in my early 30s. 19 miles each way. This was in Tucson, so I could do it year round. I averaged about once/week driving for some reason or another and would ride most days.

47 yo, 35 miles and 1,500' of ascent RT, 1-4 days per week, dependent upon summer heat and wildfire haze. Late fall temps could make it 5 days/week.
