Interesting video on various chain lubes

While video in question is about motorcycle chain and lube, chain between bicycles and motorcycles are built same way with same components. Main difference is thickness, which chain lube doesnt care about. Quite informative and well thought out test between various chain lubes.

I watched this video last year. Even though Moto chains and bike chains are very different, it is interesting. If you watch their review on chain cleaners you will see how WD-40 disintegrates plastic and rubber.

First year using paraffin dipped cassettes and chains, with slurry of paraffin in kerosene brushed on weekly to keep dipping to twice per year. I'll never go back to other lubes. Paraffin = happy chain and clean bike and clothes.

I wax my chains but I don't see the point in waxing the cassette. But if there's a good reason to do it, I'm all ears.

I try to remember to lube them at the same time I change the smoke detector batteries. Every leap year if they need it or not...

Perhaps overkill, but seems to keep the whole rear end clean. Maybe skip that next year and compare results.
