25.4 or 1 Inch Seat Post

Was going to replace the seat on a 1981ish Schwinn Voyager and ride it around a bit. I realized that the seat post is the old style dual bolt bottom. I am not going to bother with that and the tube is 1 inch. Not having much luck finding a reasonably priced 1 inch post.
So should it be a 1 inch post, or 25.4MM. Does it have to be 1 inch?

Dual-bolt? Like a Campagnolo Record post, or a steel one?

I've been searching for a 25.4-style Record post and would be glad to help you out if we can swap.

Post a pic if you can.

The post is 26.8MM. Sorry. I went outside and looked at it closely. It's clearly marked.

The original post belongs in the junk pile. And I know this weird post was used on other bikes of the period.

I will get a pic of it up.
