Will have company tomorrow
Got a text Thursday night from Ed about joining for a ride Saturday morning. I guess Ed had fun on his first winter fat bike ride two weeks ago. I keep two spare trail bikes with studs ready for anyone who wants to come play in my backyard. I've had several others ask but haven't pulled the trigger yet, only Ed. So I figured why not get out early from work Friday and check out the trail conditions. Lots of packed sections from hikers and some by snow mobiles. So I'll take the Plus Bike and have Ed use the Yukon Fat Bike. In no time I think I'll hook Ed on the Fat Bike, and wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't buy one soon.

Thanks ! I figure it's easier to get people to try cycling if it's on the trails and not the road. It's a little less intermediating riding the trails than the road for first timers. That's why I decided to have extra trails bikes available if other take me up on my offer.

I could feel and relate to your snow riding...
...but then you glided out onto the frozen lake!
OMG! I actually held my breath!
I would love to try that! There are two man-made lakes on my commute routes, but venturing onto the ice is prohibited; and unless I saw people already on the ice, I'd be scared to try.
Also...very cool camera angles!
