drums are phenomenal and miles has a crazy long solo. even herbie joins in late for some cool sounds. miles once said (to paraphrase
loosely) that if he wanted to, he and his band would be the best rock band we ever heard. i don't doubt it. hendrix and miles were
supposedly slated to get together to potentially work on a fusion jazz/rock project before hendrix left us. both artists at the time (1969)
were converging and lapping at the edges of each other's work. i can only imagine how mind-blowing that stuff woulda/coulda been...
