ISO small frameset
I'm looking to buy a small (48-49cm) frameset, prefer something in light blue/celeste for my daughter. I saw an Olmo frame in 48cm on the bay but it's a dark blue and I wouldn't want to repaint something like that. Looking for something without dents or rust for less than $300. Thanks!

I have a small Shogun 500 touring f/f but it's definitely not blue it's red. Has a few paint chips but otherwise is in excellent condition with absolutely no rust. Rack and fender mounts in rear, lowrider rack mounts on fork, cantilever brake. Let me know if interested and I can post pics after work.

I have this touring frame. Obviously not cleaned up, but if it's interesting I'll send better pictures. Also an early Trek 500 that needs paint. Both are ~48 CTC

I have two very worthy candidates. The first is a 1982 Schwinn Voyageur 11.8. It’s light blue. Very clean with nice chrome stays, fork crown, and socks. I’ve never seen a blue 11.8, most are black.
The second is a 1989 Nishiki International Ole. Rare model, Tange 1, Miami Vice blue and white. Pristine! I have all the Ole parts too.
Both are 49cm center to top ST.

In addition to a possible problem with the brake mounts, you may also have to spread the rear triangle as it is very likely to be 126 mm.
This is not a big deal. A lot of people have modernized old road bikes but it is stuff that you or a shop will have to deal with.

The Ergo/STI thread is full of 126mm spaced bikes that owners either squeezed in a 130mm 10 speed wheel or had it cold set. IMO cold set is not necessary for such a small amount. Go form old 5 speed 120mm spacing and it is needed

Thanks everyone for your help! I ended up buying a frame from flog00, a 49cm Fuso which I will have painted; I'll post pics of it when it's built.
