I'm in Boulder for a few days this week. Boulder Bikes come to mind. What vintage bike related places should i hit up while i'm here?

beat me to it.
If you get into Denver, Shwab Cycles (near Wadsworth and Colfax) has a lot of nice vintage race bikes and stuff, too.

I was in Denver and Boulder a few years ago, and while I didn't visit any shops, I saw C&V bikes everywhere. Tons and tons.

So, in addition to the places mentioned, just keep your eyes peeled when you're out and about.

This is a business formerly owned by Mike Kone, then sold to the current owner, who moved it from Michigan to Colorado recently. I met one of the friends of the owner in April and was told it is a going concern, still. It's worth seeing what he has to show.

A couple years ago when I was visiting my daughter in Boulder, I stopped in at The Pro’s Closet, a big shop that only sells used stuff mostly online. They have a small, eclectic collection of vintage bikes, and some of them are stunning! When I go back this summer, I’ll stop in again and take a few pics. Interesting store. Vecchio’s is pretty cool, too - an old-school shop.

My shed?

I think the main places for C&V have been covered, at least the ones I’m aware of. Be aware that Boulder Bikes is by appointment only (last I checked), and the Pros Closet collection isn’t quite as viewable as it used to be.

University Bikes on the West end of Pearl Street mall (9th + Pearl) has a very interesting collection of old bikes, including the one Andy Hampsten rode in his Giro win. Vecchio's is great and is right next door to a great coffee shop (Boxcar - that shares space with Cured, a european market run by a former pro racer). There is also a Rapha store on the same block if you want to see something modern.

Enjoy your visit.

thanks! I actually did happen upon this block and ran into all of these places briefly. Definitely a great cycling town!
