Ehhhhh, I would disagree, though in practice it might be moot.

My sealant level check is generally every 6 weeks, but it's not because OS dries up, it's because it gets used via punctures. While I've had rear tires be bone dry at 8 weeks, I regularly have front tires, which are punctured far less frequently in my experience, lookin' fresh and full at 3 months. But, you've gotta schedule your checks around the shorter interval of the two tires and that's going to depend on your proneness to punctures (which is going to include ride frequency, mileage, road/debris conditions, etc).

Well this thread is mainly about the wheels themselves. Don’t want to bloat it too much with discussions of things that aren’t specific to these wheels. Any decent tape and sealant that works on other wheels will work on these. Feel free to start a thread in Bicycle Mechanics or Road Cycling if you want to know more about that specifically.

Skip the LB tape. It’s way too narrow and crappy. I think when I actually go TL I’m going to find 25mm tape because the wall-to-wall width on 23mm hooked rims is more than 23mm. LB also has the option for undrilled rims if you’re willing to put up with the faff and don’t want internal nipples like I did.

Been thinking about it.
Aren't these rims without holes much harder to repair?
In a road bike its uncommon for a spoke to be damaged right?

Unless you crash or shift your rear derailleur into the spokes, spoke damage is pretty rare on road wheels.

BTW, do not use alloy nipples on carbon wheels.

If you see wheels as 10 year investment, don’t use alloy nipples. Otherwise, they’ll seize up after a few years. How often do you need to re-true a deep carbon wheelset with a locking nipple? About never.
Im 200lb, for the past 3yrs(?) I’ve been hitting pot holes constantly on 23-25c road tires with my 32mm deep AL rims with bladed straight pull spokes with DT locking nipples. Not a single spoke is turned or loose. I didn’t have the same experience with about 5 wheel sets prior.
Deep rims and locking nipples take a lot of the work away from the spokes. I have the same setup with my LB rims and don’t expect to have any maintenance.

I went with the AR56 because of the 23mm ID. With 30mm Schwalbe G-One Speed tires, the ride is fast and smoooooth.

Retired the Conti GP 5000 TLR’s today. Lasted over 3000 miles which is much longer than any of my other tires have lasted.
Ive heard good things about these Vittoria’s. They are incredibly light and thin. I have a hard time thinking that they will last long but we shall see. I’m not super hard on my tires or anything.

Had a good ride with these new tires today. Surprisingly I really felt a different more lively ride feel. Maybe you really can tell the difference from one to another. They’re so thin though I grimaced every time I ran over anything out of the ordinary in the early morning darkness. Perhaps they’ll outlive my expectations!

question though. The inflation recommendation is 87-120psi. I normally ride at about 80 on the rear and 75 up front, any problems with doing this?

Lower pressures are if anything gentler on rims, unless you're routinely bottoming out.

I assume you're running them tubeless, right? Vittoria is an odd bird with their sidewall pressure ratings. Regular with tubes Corsa Controls I think are 100-145psi. Not sure but maybe they feel that their cotton tires want or need a bit more pressure than most tires for sidewall support and/or optimum speeds/rolling resistance.

Yes running tubeless. I guess that makes sense, just a bit more bouncy at the higher pressure it seems.
