Steel frame Moots?

Anyone here have experience with or knowledge of Moots steel frames. I have the opportunity to buy one and can find nothing at all online other than a mention that some of their first bikes were steel.

Quick follow up question if I may... thoughts on value? I know, I know, need photos. I'll get to that. Just wondering if they're desirable, sought after, yadda yadda yadda.

Questions of value don't belong on this forum, but if it's real I would expect it to be highly desirable/sought after.

There's a guy in my town who rides around an old green steel Moots Mountaineer. Other than that one I don't see them often. I'm sure 95% of them are in Colorado.

Right, but if I ask in the "appraisals" forum without a series of hi-res images, the serial number, and the name of the bike's parents, I get dragged.
