"Save this bike" thread!

Maybe the thread will take, maybe it won't but i thought there is a place for bikes that REALLY needs saving but they aren't your size!
First up: a friggin Zunow! its rough, its been.... neglected.. but it could be amazing with some love. offer a $100! (actually I might do that just to see even if it is too small) I think its @artclone 's size?

Is it definitely a Zunow? I can't see any hummingbirds.

Sorry, I know that I have shown this before but if a bike ever needed saving, this is it...

Okay, I posted about these in the 3-speeds thread. A junk shop near me had, until recently, only one of these and I discovered it now has TWO nearly identical AMF Hercules ladies' blue 20" 3-speeds. Peaked chrome fenders, white pedals. The place is overpriced so the bikes may never be attractively priced for their weathered condition but someone needs to save at least one of them.

You know, despite being beat beyond recognition, that's a pretty neat build. It'd be fun to commute knowing you're on a Zunow.

...except I don't quite believe that it is a Zunow - yet. I've never seen one that does not have cast logos in the seatstay caps or fork crown, and the lugs look like they might be a bit on the production thickness size from the relatively lousy Craigslist pics.

Methinks the seller thinks that the kludgy build and street weathering is enough to fool someone...

Yeah, mine is a tame earlier one but still has seatstay caps panto'd and very simple bird cutout under bb. Need more evidence.

Is that a Zunow decal on the left rear seatstay?
